Co-wrote a @TechCabal feature piece 2 months ago about how Nigerian developers are building AI tools to make things easier in the church.
Worked with my team to adapt this into a subject-led video. It went live on Sunday and now has >22k views on IG and >41k views on X.
Nigerian developers are reimagining how the church and technology can work together, creating tools that go beyond answering doctrinal questions to solving real-time challenges during services.
One of them, @darasoba , built @pewbeam_ai , a tool that automatically displays Bible verses as the pastor preaches, based on their words or paraphrases. It was first tested last month at @cci_ibadan , with plans for wider rollout.
Here’s Dara sharing the inspiration behind Pewbeam AI.
Market woman quoted ₦5,000.
I said ₦2,000.
She gasped like I had insulted her ancestors.
Walked away.
I kept walking too.
She called me back.
“Oya bring 2,500.”
The whole performance is choreography. Both parties know the ending. We just enjoy the show. 😂
I think emotional education should be a real thing. I don't mean soft skills; I mean things like how to sit with boredom, how to be happy alone, how to protect the heart from persuasion, how to discern intuition, how to ask for feedback, opinions, or advice, how to grieve, etc.
A college swimmer caught red-handed assaulting an unconscious girl behind a dumpster gets sentenced to just 3 months in jail because the judge "didn't want to ruin his Olympic potential." Once again, a man's hypothetical career is worth more than a woman's actual life.
Asking people if they are OK when they don’t show up instead of assuming everyone is dismissive or a disappointment. They could just be overwhelmed by life.
I discovered a life hack by accident. A relative insulted me, and I missed it. I just kept being nice to him, so he insulted me again. He ended up stopping the conversation to let me know I was supposed to be insulted. It bothered him that I didn't react. You know what…?
There’s absolutely nothing more pleasing than watching yourself do the things you said you’d do. I really value honoring the promises I’ve made to myself.
i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and almost always from:
•getting humiliated
•showing up terrified and doing it anyway
•admitting you might be the problem
Normalize being very direct, very straight to the point and very assertive. A surprising amount of tension in adult life exist because people avoid saying what they actually mean.
This sentence by Van Gogh hits hard:
“If I am worth anything later, I am worth something now. For wheat is wheat, even if people think it is a grass in the beginning.”
WHAT IS PURPOSE?
Purpose is that one thing for which you were created and at which you must succeed otherwise nothing else you succeed at will count.

My coworker quit on Friday and my boss got so mad he deactivated her email immediately before she’d even left the building.
Problem is… her account controlled our entire company calendar.
Every meeting.
Every schedule.
Every recurring event for the next 2 years.
Gone.
Monday morning was absolute chaos. The managers were running around blaming everyone except themselves.
