Whilst we celebrated Father's Day, may I remind you again that the kind of a father our God desire is in Jesus.

If we follow the pattern of the father our culture represents to us, we'll fall short of the standards.

Fatherhood is a ministry, a ministry to reveal Christ.

Building a man upon a rock entails cleansing him by the washing of water by the Word. As one is being cleansed, he is being built. Forgiveness of sins goes beyond pardoning; it is the removal of the cause of sin and the building up of a man in Christ (Matt. 7:24; Eph. 5:26).

Every man has an innate desire to be the best in earthly things. This desire is an idol—a wrong image. The true image every man should desire is the one God gives. When God gives His image (becoming like His Son), we will not be able to boast or lay claim to it.
