• Any directives relating to the halting of transactions are officially communicated in writing to the relevant institutions.
If anyone requests payment or “facilitation” in exchange for FIA services, treat this as fraud and report it immediately.

Today, the Financial Intelligence Authority is participating in the National Financial Inclusion Strategy meeting convened by the @BOU_Official at Four Points by Sheraton, where the Commissioner Finance and Administration, Mr Emmanuel Okurut has represented the Executive Director of FIA @were_wandera as Chief Guest.
Our Manager International Relations, Mr Bright Besigye has delivered a presentation highlighting FIA’s role in strengthening AML/CFT compliance, promoting risk-based approaches, and supporting a safer, more inclusive financial ecosystem.
The ED FIA @were_wandera in his remarks at the launch of the financial investigation training manual has highlighted that the tool is designed to enhance capacity of all stakeholders with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively tackle financial crimes. This training tool was developed in collaboration with @CID1_UG@ugwildlife@URAuganda@PoliceUg@IGGUganda@giz_gmbh@ODPPUGANDA @secFinAfrica and the European Union.

The Financial Intelligence Authority is currently undertaking a Generative AI Policy & Guidelines Development Workshop and Masterclass Series at Imperial Golf View Hotel, Entebbe, with support from @giz_gmbh through the SecFin Africa Programme.
Now in its second day, the workshop is focusing on AI risk management, data privacy, security, governance, procurement, vendor management and responsible use of emerging technologies within the Authority’s mandate.
This engagement is part of an implementation roadmap for responsible AI adoption in the Authority.
