The emerging agentic trust protocols divide the trust problem into five distinct functions. x402 handles per-request payment. x401 handles per-request proof of authority.

Google Agent Identity handles runtime identity within a cloud environment. ERC-8004 handles persistent on-chain discovery and reputation. And the fifth function, portable, verified accountability that follows an agent across services and platforms over time, is the one Concordium's Agent Registry was built to provide.

The first three functions attach primarily to individual transactions or requests. Google Agent Identity lasts longer but remains tied to the hosting environment.

The fifth function is different again because it gives an agent a persistent record that can accumulate history, carry revocable standing, and be checked by any counterparty without prior arrangement or access to any internal system.

@Concordium is the only registry currently providing that fifth function with a verified human identity behind every registration rather than leaving it optional.
