@BocaBola_ There are Leica Monochrome stills cameras that only shoot in grayscale. This can increase sharpness and dynamic range by only capturing luminance data.

But color cameras are already pretty sharp and have impressive dynamic range, so I feel the benefit would be marginal.

@davepl1968 Sodium lights are spectral yellow. So when they reflect off surfaces, they can only reflect yellow. So if something in frame isn't yellow, they aren't sodium lights. They either controlled the light sources or they were some other kind of light in that area.

@mweinbach I'm a photographer. Calling a smartphone "200 MP" is very misleading. They divide pixels into 4 subpixels to pad the spec. They deliver marginal detail improvement over 12 MP sensors. No tiny plastic lens could ever resolve anything close to 200 MP.
