Abu Dhabi court has issued a divorce summons to Abdul Hamid Abdul Samad following serious allegations by his wife Hajira of years of abuse, confinement and exploitation.

According to her father, Abdul Hamid deliberately allowed Hajira’s passport & UAE documents to expire so she could not seek legal protection, while he lived with a second wife and abandoned his first family. He is also accused of misusing his association with Sheikh Hamdan’s office.

Allegations further state that his brother, an imam at the Grand Mosque, was aware of the situation but failed to intervene.

This case raises urgent questions of justice, accountability and protection for vulnerable women. Authorities are urged to take notice.

This is not going towards #Democracy or stable state in #Syria, this is going towards anarchy. I didn’t hear anything positive either today from @StateDeptSpox in the briefing room regarding upcoming days in Syria. The role of #Israel #จันท์เกมส์xอิงฟ้า did come under discussion several times. The word “recognition” of #terrorist organizations also mentioned twice in a row in two days by my senior @APDiploWriter while comparing some Syrian once terrorists and #Taliban and @StateDept position on it. My personal opinion and @TheFrontierPost has been very clear about #Taliban in #Afghanistan since last 30 years and that is “anybody who doesn’t not believe on #Girls education is far worse of terrorism ideology than any sort or kind and we hope that all nations can agree on this simple rule.” And “that such ideology is even disgrace to the whole religion of #Islam” 🙏
