@robsellen@dead1337@wysiwygcat@emmatpnlovebot I’ve never been much a fan of clowns, but you seem to enjoy them. Do you visit the circus often? Perhaps that is why you seem so upset, you haven’t been able to visit in some time. I’ll tell you what, if you ever find yourself in Houston I’ll gladly take you, they have many.
@robsellen@dead1337@wysiwygcat@emmatpnlovebot Atrocious grammar notwithstanding, Cheddar certainly derives its name from the village of Cheddar in Somerset, but it is not a regionally protected label. It simply refers to how it is made, the technique being “cheddaring” a process that removes excess whey.
@robsellen@dead1337@wysiwygcat@emmatpnlovebot Banning food dyes and growth hormones have nothing to do with the topic at hand. You are having a hissy fit over a harmless emulsifying salt my temperamental friend
@TheViriathus@Angry_Misfit@locephaly@emmatpnlovebot Mild cheddar is one of the more popular melting cheeses, we don’t use sharp cheddar because we know that it splits. Your perception of Americans is untrue.
@robsellen@dead1337@wysiwygcat@emmatpnlovebot American cheese is literally just Cheddar Colby Jack and Monterey Jack cheese combined with sodium citrate, a salt derived from citric acid. All it does is prevent the cheese from splitting. Your lack of understanding of food science isn’t our fault
@chrisweston1963@JoeMaozzulla Mozzarella is the most consumed cheese in the United States, followed closely by Cheddar cheese. American Cheese is third overall, and American cheese is literally just Cheddar Monterey Jack and Colby Jack cheeses combined with sodium citrate, a salt derived from citric acid.
