It took one snide, disrespectful remark from @priyankagandhi for thousands of people to read up whatever they could on the Director of @iitmadras Prof. V Kamakoti.

I have said this before and I say it again - They do not realise that in their zeal to constantly deride our intellectuals, public figures, successful entrepreneurs, even history and celebrations - they unwittingly encourage people to read, ask questions seek answers.

So in fact, they must be thanked for the good work they do and the role they’ve taken upon themselves - resulting in a better informed society that is now able to push back and counter their open hostility, ridiculous opinions and claims with hard facts and confidence.

*29th July – An Important Day in Indian Military History*

This day marks the signing of the Indo–Sri Lanka Peace Accord in year 1987, an agreement that led to the deployment of the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) to Sri Lanka to help restore peace and end an ethnic conflict.

What followed was Operation Pawan—a full-scale military operation that lasted 32 months.

During this operation, 1200 brave Indian soldiers made the Supreme Sacrifice, more than 3,000 were wounded, and many were disabled for life.

As the pages of history turn, Operation Pawan and the brave soldiers of the IPKF are too often forgotten.

They followed the orders entrusted to them. They stepped onto foreign soil with the mission of restoring peace and, in doing so, laid down their lives while upholding the honour and dignity of our Flag 🇮🇳 & motherland.

Their Families could not perform their last rites as, in those days Mortal remains were cremated in the battlefield only

Today, let us pause to remember these forgotten heroes, honour their courage, and pay our heartfelt homage to their supreme sacrifice.

The Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, have been, are and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India. Pakistan has illegally occupied parts of these territories and is now using violence against the occupied people.
