I am the most positive person you’ll find about amateur umpiring. Emails like this are brutal to read. An umpire who went through 15 hours of training, purchased equipment+uniforms has quit after one weekend because of harassment by parents and coaches. This is a societal problem

@coachballgame @ihapp_1 @thecompoundpod dad was #1, 2nd was Mr. Reidy - I will never forget how Mr. Reidy would enthusiastically yell "call the caterer" during every practice. No idea what a caterer was, but thinking back how bad our team was makes me love Mr. Reidy that much more. We were going to win it all!
