@NatalyaOba Maybe it’s time for restaurant owners to change their business models. When I first moved to Italy—&because I’d been a waitress myself—I left a generous tip on the lunch table.

The owner of the restaurant was truly offended that I didn’t think he could afford to pay his staff.

@elonmusk If this is so disturbing, why aren’t the mega-wealthy (who truly influence politics) talking about how to raise wages so those 90% couples can afford more children & keep a standard of living that reflects well being? This is a sincere question about the disconnect I see around.

@Avabelly__ Keep your son away from the beach because she’s covered by comparison. Ban him from shopping malls, too, that have Victoria Secrets & any other lingerie shops. Or if the issue is body identification, learn to love yours to where seeing another woman in shorts & a crop top is fine

@Monica55dzrh Love is measured by the size of a ring? In an of itself, the logic is flawed. Yet, that logic does fit the prevailing idea that appearance is more valuable than substance in a society that is willing to go into deep debt for the sake of appearance. May they be happy & debt free!

Still. It’s an ugly look for him to jump on a rising tide of interest when he’s only showed disdain before.

@RedPandaKoala It’s been interesting to watch that unfold. I’m glad to see someone said it out loud. On the positive side, he will inadvertently help acclimatize those who’ve habitually ridiculed the idea of other kinds of sentient intelligences.
