A quarterly literary journal showcasing the very best new work from writers of colour. You can buy the first issue or subscribe for a year on our website
So @kickstarter have reminded us that it’s been a year since we were funded!
Thank you so much to all our original subscribers. You have made so much possible
And digital copies of issue 1 are only £7 and delivered instantly if you want to see what we’ve thought was 🔥🔥🔥 before. @nikeshshukla was at the helm for that one but he works with all our guest editors and looks at all our submissions

What are you doing this weekend? Thinking about what you can submit to issue 3?!
@courttianewland is our guest editor and if you want an idea of what we’re looking for? Well everything as long as it’s 🔥🔥🔥. Guidelines here: https://t.co/DJavV9xqwn
There was some particularly amazing news over @thegoodagencyuk yesterday. Every one who supported on Kickstarter helped the agency exist, so thank you for helping make this happen!
We couldn’t be prouder to have sold our first big book but sad the headline doesn’t mention it or the author’s name.
Rosanna Amaka. Book of Echoes.
Remember those names, we’re very confident you’re going to be hearing them a lot!
A bit late, but loved all the pieces in @thegoodjournal issue 1. Really looking forward to reading the forthcoming issue 2, plus submissions are now open for issue 3 - so submit! :) Meanwhile, here are some of my faves from Issue 1...
@staybalanced_ @bobimono We’re a literary journal publishing essays, short stories & poems by British writers of colour and @thegoodagencyuk exists to represent writers who aren’t well represented in UK publishing. Also check out @OWNITLDN who are an amazing company / platform doing brilliant things
@sjahmed01 They are able to and many people have. The website isn’t perfect but we’re afraid it’s about as good as we can do on the budget and time we have, but we’ll have a look as to whether we can make it any easier or more obvious
Some ridiculous, exciting & ridiculously exciting news: I’m @ESMagOfficial’s new restaurant critic. Here’s me, being unveiled, talking about jollof, Mountain Dew & Pizza Express: https://t.co/hhsx4hPYwr
