@PFEW_HQ I’d add that they have an effect on colleagues who have to cover the 3 year+ void left by their ‘missing’ colleague. If the police are to have strict time limits imposed upon them for investigations, so should any investigation into police matters surely?

@PaterIndomitus @COLRICHARDKEMP Policing is exactly that though. Many laws require a level of proof of intent and investigations test conscience, honesty and integrity. This is perhaps an inexperienced, overworked officer, misguided and confused through ill considered, politically motivated law & policy?

@metpoliceuk @MetCC Cctv can’t even always help solve violent crime. A visible police presence helps prevent it in the 1st place @AmberRuddHR saving the cost to the families, the investigation, prosecution and incarceration. 20,000 less = 7 entire large county Police forces!
