This has been a really poor showing from the Springboks so far.
Regardless of the fact that they currently lead 35-26, and of the quality Barbarians have available, a team thrown together in a week should not be able to systematically break down an aligned and settled Bok team.
I didn't know what I had when the Bulls were on that Super Rugby and Currie Cup run. Now I have to see us blinded by the lights in finals year after year.
Cancel the team talk. Put Hanekom and Nortje in cotton wool for the England game. Let the players scroll through TikTok or something. Time to plan for next season, starting with a new defence coach.
forgive me - from my couch - but if the Bulls defenders in midfield just line up on the OUTSIDE shoulder of the attacker opposite him , then it will solve so much 😡
if you line up INSIDE the attacker:
- you are giving him a lane around you
- it is harder for you to swim past him and bounce to the next man and therefore create width in your D line
- the defender outside you gets nervous and sometimes feels he must come in to help.
all of that kills your width and leaves you short and hurts your ability to pressure the edge attack .
as we are seeing, easy for Leinster to get around the edge 😩
We’re going to wake up to news that Messi and co did unspeakable things to our African brothers. All the best to Algeria.
Al Jazeera will show us the highlights 🙏🏾
Bulls-bound centre, Sango Xamlashe has had to take the long road back to Loftus.
He opens up about his journey from leaving the Bulls at 21, discovering himself, and lessons learnt before rejoining the union.
“I return as a mature player” he says⬇️
