instead of focusing on the things that don’t matter, get obsessed with who you’re becoming, where you’re going, and all of the amazing shit you’re going to accomplish.
long term relationships really come with a lot of forgiveness..... don’t think you bouta have 3+ perfect years with someone. we all have flaws and toxic traits so find someone you can grow and become better with
I done helped a ngga through some of his darkest days just for him to turn around and become the reason for mine. That’s why I don’t brag about being no ride or die anymore. Baby, sometimes you need to GET OUT THE CAR.
One thing I cannot tolerate at this grown age is people who refuse to understand cause and effect. Your actions produced this outcome. Why are you shocked by the consequences of something you deliberately set in motion, then standing there playing victim?

as someone who likes to talk things out, i’m slowly learning that not every feeling requires a conversation. sometimes you just have to sit with it, let it pass and move on.
people aren’t perfect and neither am i. grace is necessary.
Your excuses can be completely legitimate and still be the reason that you never made it. You know, the bank doesn't accept trauma as a payment method. Your childhood might have been terrible, you might have grown up without a father. You may have been betrayed by everybody that you trusted. All of that is real. All of it's valid, your pain and your potential, they both live in the same body. Every single day you wake up choosing which one gets to drive. You can hold onto the excuse forever. You can tell the story to anybody that will listen and every single person would nod and say,I understand, but understanding doesn't change your bank account. Sympathy, doesn't build your future. Validation doesn't pay your bills. The most dangerous excuse isn't the weak one, it's the valid one because when your excuse is legitimate, you can justify staying stuck forever. Nobody will ever challenge you. Nobody will ever push back. They'll just let you stay there, comfortable in your pain, validate you and your failure. And meanwhile, somebody out there has the same story as you, same broken home, same setbacks, same trauma, and they decided their past was a reason to go harder, not a reason to stop. Same circumstances, different decision, that's the only difference between the man who made it, and someone who almost did. I'm not saying to forget what happened to you. I'm saying, stop letting it alter the rest of your life. You can acknowledge the wound and still refuse to let it write your entire future. Those are two very different things. So understand your reasons are real, your results, they don't care. And at some point you gotta decide, do you want the excuse or do you want the life.
