A lot of people would like him to have less pull considering the little work he does before the draft and history of bad choices.

@49ers_guy @AndyKHLiu @EvanSowards 2017 and 2021 post draft. Otherwise he typically only shows up around playoff or superbowl appearances. Im pretty sure this is pretty notable that he does a longer interview post draft because there is some heat around them.

@JL_Chapman Id say it kinda depends on how the board is falling. KC seems like he might turn out to be a BALLER. I like Howell and think he fills a need but if there hasn't been a run on edge, id take the higher ceiling and bet on barham or another edge and try to trade up into 2nd or 3rd

@benjamin_f72288 @49ers_Access There are qbs out there as free agents that can do that. Especially if Shanny is as good as everyone thinks he is.
The point being made, business wise its a bad business to hold on depreciating assets with an aging roster with not knowing if our core will be playing next year.

@benjamin_f72288 @49ers_Access And if they don't need him? How many teams hold starting qbs as their back up? That's because a back up is supposed to win 2-3 out of 5 games to keep afloat or the season is already gone. Same reason we don't hold starters at any other position as back ups.

@MikeAndrews83 You definitely know ball. While I do agree that pressures and qb hits are more consistent than sacks, at least this hopefully means we can draft a starter in the first round opposed to a rotational 3rd DT like what was being proposed.

@NinersNation Leverage against trents team. Agent puts out trade rumors. Team signs a tackle with potential and upside. If trent pushes too hard they can trade and know they have someone to put in and develop. Tbh would probably last more games than the 9-11 games we get from trent a year.
