This is our local, tiny and ephemeral Iron Age #Hillfort of Castlesteads on 'The Helm', Oxenholme, #Kendal here in #Cumbria.
The ramparts on the steeper sides have eroded away. Away in the distance is Watercrook #Roman fort in the bend of the R. Kent.
