This will be an unpopular opinion among Browns fans, but Jalen Milroe should absolutely be in consideration for Cleveland in the Draft.

After going back and reading, Milroe’s prospect analysis is almost a direct echo of Jalen Hurts in 2020.

- Elite athlete
- Can carve up defenses on the ground
- Great strength
- Strong arm
- Lethal when rolling out
- Great passer when footwork is correct
- Struggles playing in rhythm
- Needs to improve going through progressions
- Needs to play more consistent from the pocket
- Needs to work on weight balance and footwork to improve accuracy

All these notes can be found in both Milroe’s and Hurts’ prospect profiles.

Hurts was widely regarded as a developmental quarterback projected to go anywhere between the 2nd and 5th rounds.

What helped Hurts become the player he is today? Focus, internal drive and dedication to improvement and success. Strong leadership capabilities, accountability and work ethic. Ability to be coached and improve his technique.

All of those are also true for Jalen Milroe.

I know a lot of people are completely out on the Alabama quarterback—I was too. But after diving deeper into Milroe, I’m actually liking what I’m seeing.
