Some concerns:
- Is personal music no longer going to be allowed?
- Why is a disconnect during the loading screen or between-round loading considered a Match Disruption?
- Is reading notes before a Match starts no longer allowed?

Bandai Namco has introduced new tournament rules for Tekken 8:

- Cell phones/tablets are now banned during matches. Only written notes may be used by the losing player.
- Any player-caused disruption or controller disconnect from the VS screen onward results in a forfeited round.
- Disruptions not caused by players will trigger a round reset.

Following the Raef/Sin incident, a disconnect no longer affects the result if the killing blow had already connected.
