@putthatupya@chid8mscjs9@samstrades@bowtiedstocks Yep agree, will be 2-3 years of pain, and then off to the races again.
If you have been waiting for an opportunity to buy and you miss this current window, πͺ¨
@chid8mscjs9@samstrades@bowtiedstocks A few policy changes, lower risk weightings for loans, increased lending incentives for business/housing (dont forget all the shit was announced in COVID).
And then there is the massive government capacity to spend + Superannuation.
So much that can (and will be done)
@samstrades@bowtiedstocks peak to trough will be 20-30% when all is said and done.
Doomsdayers are in for a rude awakening and as always will miss the run up.
@samstrades@bowtiedstocks No chance - the private debt will be rolled onto the government balance sheet.
Aus Government debt-GDP is 35% - US has 100%, Japan 200%.
We have capacity to print our way out of any problem (at-least once or twice)
@jogiljose@bowtiedstocks yep and they will lose money, some will sell for a modest loss, some will try hold on and sell for slightly bigger losses.
But to fall for 50-60% declines are not going to happen.
@TwinTurboCe1ica Will average out to 1% grades over the whole interval (with pockets of high grade).
Also have a feeling the strike extents going to be relatively small.
Well done to holders so far, but at $200M more can go wrong than right
