My take on inflation data is the RBA has not been serious about fighting inflation.
They are happy to continue to forecast it will eventually return to target and continually push out the timing.
The way to make sure you hit your targets (or do better) is to take more action.
If there's upside risks why not remove them? Perhaps the RBA should seek to shape the inflation outlook rather than have policy defined by observed inflation.
We cannot grow out of it. We do not create the environment or incentivise Aussies to develop and grow successful businesses here. This Gov is the opposite of what you have described mate. There isn’t even an acknowledgement that there is a problem. They gaslight their way through for votes. They have given up on growing and is all about redistribution now.
I can't recall. I don't recall. I can't recall. I don't recall. I can't recall. I don't recall. I can't recall. I don't recall. I can't recall. I don't recall. I can't recall. I don't recall. I can't recall. I don't recall. I can't recall. I don't recall.

Your average person is financially illiterate. Like, shockingly illiterate - bordering retarded.
Take away their only safety net and you’re going to see a shocking amount of poverty in over 65's.
NDIS package used as reason to release multiple dangerous sex offenders and pedos early.
As a country we have increasingly lost our minds.
Releasing dangerous sex offenders (pedos) early because they have NDIS packages to “assist their transition back to the community” is nuts.
Releasing them, them breaching conditions, going back to jail, getting a new NDIS package (annual costs approaching $1m) and being re released early is beyond nuts.

We’re getting poorer thanks to @AlboMP@JEChalmers. Unless Australia undertakes reforms to boost productivity living standards will continue to fall. The Albanese Govt is clueless & an enemy of Australians.
The federal government's Productivity Commission report into it.
Page 27:
"Overall, the cumulated lifetime fiscal costs (in net present value terms) of a parent visa holder in 2015-16 is estimated to be between $335 000 and $410 000 per adult, which ultimately must be met by the Australian community."
Adjust that for inflation since 2016 and then multiply it by the parent visa intake for 2025-26, you get a lifetime cost of ~$4.25 billion.
Then multiply that by the intake over prior years and the cost climbs well into the billions.

This is correct. The Coalition should never consider a formal coalition or alliance with One Nation.
If they need to rely on One Nation for confidence and supply to form minority government, that is one thing, but an alliance would be the kiss of death.

Australia was handed one of the greatest starting positions of any country in history
Massive mineral wealth. Abundant energy. World-class beaches. Amazing climate. No fault lines... no earthquakes or tsunamis
If you gave a 12-year-old this setup in a civilisation-building game, they'd build a paradise
Instead, we got decades of useless politicians on both sides of the aisle who couldn't run a sausage sizzle at Bunnings without a $4 billion feasibility study and a royal commission
Australia isn't unlucky. It's grossly mismanaged
@samstrades This guys needs to keep talking like so people will wake the fuck up and send this idiot to the cleaners come election time. He is dangerous. Glad we don’t have land neighbors otherwise we would be the new UK.
This is the real cost of @AlboMP & @JEChalmers ’s war on capital and aspiration. Wreckage from the new illogical, nearly double, #CGT .
Two more Australian founders securing funding… then immediately leaving Australia for the US.
Superstat. Hyro. Straight out the door.
#CGT changes that punish success. Higher taxes on the ambitious. A system that makes it harder to build here than leave.
How many more have to go before this government admits what it’s doing to the next generation of Australian companies? #ScrapTheCGTHeist #JoinWARonCGT @stevechapman424
Fun Fact: GDP is a misleading indicator.
If I pay someone $50 to dig a hole and someone else $50 to fill that hole in GDP will be $100.
In Accounting terms that would be called a loss of $100.
There’s a reason why most companies don’t employ economists. It’s because they’re useless and a liability rather than an asset.
Economists are the climate scientists of the finance world. They rely on flawed models rather than real numbers.
The sooner they are ignored the better.
