If ChatPDF really cared about respecting copyright they would make it clear to users (and not hide it in the T&C), what can and cannot be contributed and they don’t do this because they know they would have little content to work with if people followed copyright law

ChatPDF is both useful and dangerous. A continuing concern I have with these tools are that they are marketed to students and encouraging them to upload academic articles to which they typically have no legal right to share 1/

What really gets me is the end of the WP article where Lemoine equates LaMDA to being the best research assistant he's ever had. This is what I'm interested in. How researchers are going to change their InfoLit processes by interacting with this tech... and it's already happening
