South yorkshire has been selected for the first investment Zone with a project to create the worlds first zero emissions aeroplane

The possibilities here for @MyDoncaster if we had DSA back open

Here's hoping that we get some positive news soon and then we could attract more investment and jobs that would go with this project

While talks are on going to secure a lease on the airport site between
Peel the owners and City of Doncaster Authority
the airspace needs to be left as is so a timely reopening can be carried out
We are of the belief that there are a number of overseas investors interested in investing in the airport
This will initially add to the local economy of Doncaster and South Yorkshire and could benefit the economy of the UK with the correct support from all relevent Authorities.

With Doncaster Sheffield Airport reopened the UK strategic assets that were based there prior to the closure NPAS police fixed wing aircraft, 2excel Coastguard Contractors and Maritime Oil Spill Aircraft.
Would be able to return to a central location to enable a timely response anywhere in the UK

Our facebook group has over 25,000 supporters and we are actively supporting our local authorities to get this airport reopened

Previously petitions with over 120,000 signatures were handed in to central government to keep the airport open

Our local economy has taken a massive hit and we have lost 800 direct jobs with another possible 1900 jobs affected

if you all stepped in and supported our campaign to get #saveDSA reopened and/or supported the airport as your previous priminister said then this wouldnt be an issue as capacity is and was allways available at DSA
@LBIAirport has issues with this especially since they took on routes from doncaster

DSA needs to be reopened for the

Greater Public Good

it will help with this issue, the environment,travel costs and help our local economy , in the right hands dsa could be the main hub for national and international freight

At our Full Council meeting in November Cllrs voted unanimously to pursue all legal routes to retain aviation operations at @DSA_Airport.

@MyDoncaster officers have continued to progress the necessary preparatory steps for the next stages of the Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO).
