@RestIsPolitics Not one mention from either on Brexit or the impact on our lives. In general, Starmer looked less confident and lacked detail on quite a few questions. Sunak came across as slightly more confident, but kept repeating things (£2k tax, future not past, talking over people).
@MartinSLewis@itvMLshow This annoys me. Appreciate the rules have not changed but HMRC seem to always be focusing more on individuals, small/medium sized businesses rather than trying to tax big corporation who pay as little tax as possible.
@ramage_olivia@LessWasteLaura@ChargePlaceScot Not sure about that. I use public charging points all the time in rural Fife and Dundee. I travel 35mins each way to work and do longer journeys to Glasgow and Aberdeen with no major charging issues to date.
@LessWasteLaura@ChargePlaceScot Appreciate the frustration. CPS appear to have around 1588 chargers all over the country. Even if 10% of these need attention then I can understand the logistical issues in maintaining each charger particularly given many of these will be in very rural areas. Admin sounds poor.
@sarajcox I used to sell eggs door to door when I was 15 for a company called Eggs’n Legs. I would make around 75p a week from the commission as no one wanted eggs, given everyone bought their them from the supermarket. I probably worked at least 4-5 hours/wk before I gave up.
@RestIsPolitics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret Rory, you mentioned in the last podcast that you are both passionate about the environment. Given that you are famously known for your heavy airline travel can you outline some of the other ways that you encompass this passion for the environment in your daily life.
@Independent We were fortunate to have flown back a week before the fire. Catania was a very efficient airport. It only took us about 20 mins to get through check-in/security on the way back.
@erinldaly @Tartanveggie @NoContextBrits I thought it was British too until I lived in America for a bit. The Scot’s can’t live without some of the red sauce.
