@iamAtheistGirl@realBrandonGill He's my embarrassing representative from my district. A true disgrace & embarrassment of the office & for so many of his constitutents. It's shocking how stupid he is. He doesn't represent us. He just "performs" like a bad insult comic clown. He doesn't care about his district.
@brockpierson Yep. Nearly all of my FTIR data for my condensed matter physics research mainly on porous Si, but also GaAs, HTSC YBCO, & multiple quantum well layered materials back in the day was stored on those puppies. We had a PDP-11 driving a Bomen FTIR Spectrometer at the time.
The warning signs of a weakening scientific system appear long before the consequences reach our everyday lives.
Dr. Gretchen Goldman, CEO of @UCSUSA, breaks down three warning signs we are experiencing right now.
@KayantDurlev@simonmaechling Do you belive your doctor when they say you have high blood pressure and show you the measurements of your blood pressure after several visits and measurement? Or do do you just go with the "I feel fine and I don't belive you."??
@erniewiseswig@simonmaechling "Commentary Account" proving Simon's point on the blowback attacks...also this how these motherfuckers make $$$. They seek out and cause the outrage. Going forward we should all just immediately mute or block them as soon as they post. Fuck them should be our new modus operandi.
@Grady_Booch@nealkhosla@geoffreyhinton Time will tell, but ultimately evidence matters. Even diagnostic and treatment plans 15 years back have changed in many cases. So, a past provider may have been right for that time and no updates since. It happens. Not all are perfect or wrong.
@Grady_Booch@nealkhosla@geoffreyhinton …up front from the patient who has been “fobbed” over so not all of those cases are because the previous provider was an idiot or incompetent, but yes, over that many years you will see it. Access to this tech is still quite new. First it was Dr. Google. Now it’s Dr. Claude.
@JoJoFromJerz@atrupar There are some people saying he also can't control his bowels and anal sphincter. That's what people are saying anyway. So, I guess if true that's yet another thing he can't control. Go figure. 🤷♂️🐒💩
@simonmaechling As scientists (former now in my case) we can't even prove that rainfall is safe...the evidence clearly shows that too much rain in too short of a timeframe can be dangerous, if not deadly, but we need rain for life to thrive. Another analogy to your "the dose/exposure matters."
