Despite the evidence that privately delivered surgeries have higher death rates, worse outcomes, higher costs and bleed staff away from the public system, the Ford government has introduced legislation today. Our job now is to battle like never before for the public system.
The real labor shortage is the shortage of good, safe, fair-wage union jobs. Shortage of affordable childcare. Shortage of labor protections. Shortage of healthcare leading to an excess of disability. These are real shortages

When rail workers want to strike: “but it’ll hurt the economy!”
When nurses want to strike: “what about the patients?!”
When teachers want to strike: “what about the kids?!”
This is union-busting propaganda.
Strikes are hard on workers and are an essential part of bargaining.

...sounds like it would be a MESS but i am here to tell you it is the BEST thing i have ever done at this work. they are SO appreciative. they do ALL the work. i spend ZERO time hassling ppl to turn stuff in. it feels HUMANE
