I’m Matt Lopez. 10 years patrol — Oakland & San Francisco. 2 Medals of Valor. $150k to millions in crypto. Lost most of it to betrayal. Rebuilt to 7-figures anyway. Still grinding every day.
One rule kept me alive on the street and off it:
Don’t get captured.
On the job you learn fast: One bad partner, one bad policy, one bad injury and you’re done. Same with money. One bank freeze, one subpoena, one “partner” with the keys and everything you bled for is gone.
I got captured once. 2021. 55 Bitcoin swapped to ETH at the absolute bottom by someone I trusted completely. $6M plus potential down to $600k overnight. That hurt worse than anything I ever saw on the street.
I didn’t stay captured. Took the fund back. Rebuilt from $600k to over $1M this year alone. Still fighting. Target: $4M next cycle, because no one will ever own me again.
“Don’t get captured” is my mantra. It’s physical and mental. As long as you’re not captured, you can move. And if you can move, you’re still alive.
The most precious thing we have on this rock is your time. It’s the only resource that actually appreciates, if you spend it on the right things. Everything else is a wash if you aren't learning or making you body stronger - mindless scrolling, drugs, alcohol - that’s your life’s energy being stolen.
I’ve reinvented myself 3 or 4 times now. Cop - broken body - crypto - betrayal - rebuild. Every time I've been in a bad situation I tell myself to move, to not stay still, to not get captured, move forward.
If you feel stuck - worse, captured - follow along. I'm just posting what I wish someone had told me years ago.
#DontGetCaptured
It's past that point Sir. You've answered the call before, it would give other strong men and women the desire to run behind a great leader as politics has become nothing but a way to enrich yourself.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"
@richroll Did a double a few years ago! I can tell you there will be challenges but it does get better! I just started running again but do kettlebells like a beast! Best of luck I'll be following to see you crush it! #dontgetcaptured
Brother I hope I just make it to 80 😂 if I'm going to live to 101 I hope they are making new body parts by then.
Give me a rocking 80 years all day long vs just hitting an arbitrary number.
I also think if you are able to be active and with it as you age then you become less of a burden on your kids.
Only time will tell!
Peptides aren't magic.
They may feel like it.
But they're tools.
Amazing tools when used properly.
But I've seen guys spending thousands and getting nothing.
Here's why:
They skip the foundation.
They buy from sketchy sources.
They use the wrong peptide for the wrong job.
They're using the wrong doses.
Then they wonder why it didn't work.
Let me save you some money.
Here are the 3 rules:
Rule 1: Foundation first.
If your sleep sucks, your training is random, and your nutrition is garbage, peptides won't save you.
Fix the basics first.
Rule 2: Reliable source.
Quality and sterility matter with peptides.
Find a supplier with third-party testing.
Make sure you know what you're putting in your body.
Rule 3: Right peptide for the right job.
BPC-157 for injury recovery.
CJC/Ipamorelin for growth hormone support.
Thymosin Beta-4 for inflammation.
Don't just pick one because someone on the internet said it's good.
Know what you're using and why.
Peptides work.
But only if you target the source of the problem.
Don't know the information I just posted and need beginner help from me to break it down?
This is IMPORTANT.
It can give you more ENERGY for your SHIFT or LIFE.

Most first responders retire.
Then they disappear in 5-10 years.
That scared the hell out of me.
I saw guys I worked with retire healthy.
Then I'd hear they were gone.
Heart attack.
Stroke.
Cancer.
All within a few years of hanging it up.
These were strong men.
Tough as nails.
But the job took more than they realized.
Here's what happens:
Decades of stress hormones.
Decades of bad sleep.
Decades of inflammation building up in
your body.
Your system keeps running on fumes until it
can't anymore.
Sounds familiar?
Trust me I know how you feel…
And when you finally slow down,
everything catches up.
That's not a scare tactic.
That's the reality.
But here's the good news:
You don't have to wait until retirement to fix
it and I recommend to start fixing it now
before it snowballs on you and becomes a
bigger problem later.
You can start protecting your future right
now.
Better sleep.
Better recovery.
Better training.
Better plan.
The job doesn't have to kill you, like it
almost killed me several years ago, a few
times…
But you have to take ownership of your
health while you still can.
BE PROACTIVE!
I know most of us aren't afraid to die on the
streets.
It's something we've all come to accept as
part of the job.
What you should not accept is going out
after your job is done.
Ensure your family has more memories
with you than the job had planned.
I want to see you WIN with your family.
Hope this helps,

P.S.
The photo below is a photo of my “WHY”,
if they werent here then I wouldn’t care
about my health, but I do it for them.
Don't Get Captured!
If your doctor said "normal," you might still be in trouble.
I went in for bloodwork a few years ago.
Felt like trash.
Tired all the time.
Brain fog.
No drive.
Doctor looked at my labs and said, "Everything's normal."
But I didn't feel normal.
I felt broken.
Here's the problem:
"Normal" just means you're in the average range.
And the average 40-year-old in America is overweight, tired, and on multiple medications.
That's not the standard I want to hit.
I want optimal.
Not normal.
Here's the difference:
Normal testosterone: 300-900 ng/dL
Optimal testosterone: 800-1000 ng/dL
Did they even check your free testosterone?
Normal sleep:5-6 hours
Optimal sleep:7-9 hours with deep cycles
Normal recovery: You survive the week
Optimal recovery: You wake up ready to go
You don't have to settle for "normal."
You can aim higher.
Done bloodwork lately?
Don’t know the information what I posted above and need beginner help from me to break it down?

The job isn't making you older.
It's making you weaker.
I used to think it was just age.
I hit 38 and everything hurt.
My back was gone.
My neck done for.
Energy?
What energy.
Running purely on discipline.
I know you guys know the feeling when you wake up.
Doesn't matter how much sleep you just got.
Your eyes still burn.
Your body still aches.
I told myself it was part of the deal.
"This is what happens when you work the job."
But that was a lie.
It wasn't age.
It was shift work.
Plus stress.
Plus zero recovery.
Here's what really happens:
You run on adrenaline for 8-16 hours.
You eat garbage because that's what's available.
Or you're too stressed and you start stress eating.
You go home wired.
No proper decompression.
Can't sleep.
You wake up feeling worse.
You try to work out and you're just redlining.
Or you don't and you get fat.
Then you do it again.
Your body never recovers.
It just keeps breaking down.
That's not age.
That's running on empty with no plan to refuel.
And you can fix it.
But first you got to stop blaming your age.
And put the system in place to recover properly.
What's your biggest struggle right now?
Sleep? Pain? Energy? Weight?
Drop it in the comments.
And I can reach out to help you with some tips that has helped me and other first responders defeat these issues FASTER!
Check out my photos of getting on the job, what it did to me and how I have recovered!

I've been pinning everyday for 3 months now, used to be 3 times a week when I started then went to every other day probably a year ago and now I'm everyday. Only been doing subq for a couple weeks but feel like ish compared to IM. On 140mg a week. I do cardio every other day, kettlebells the other days but will definitely add in the cardio everyday now.
E2 can sometimes get away from me but have added AI since my last labs.
Appreciate the tips, looking forward to the article
Ya it was probably 4 years ago, both sourced from peptide sciences. And when I say the Sema was a mess I just meant I was tired hell struggled to workout and had crazy tiredness.
I did around 1mg of tesa for a couple weeks before the palpitations started and have been afraid to use it ever since.
My vagus nerve is also shot from high stress incidents so I'm pretty sensitive to things messing with me.
