@johnredwood It never started selling the bonds, the boe had to reverse and buy more bonds (more qe) because no one is wanting to purchase the governments debt at the negative real returns. And also the systemic failure of the pension system due due reckless borrowing thingy......
@johnredwood You don't become more competitive by cutting taxes if you don't cut spending. Buying your own debt because no one else will not / does not make you more competitive.
@mtracey Twitter is a terrible medium for communicating information. The word limit causes 'quotes' to be edited normally to positively reinforce an authors point of view.
@argokimetes @leffield_ @DrElbourne@kyr10 No the artificially low interest rates have created asset bubbles causing the cost of housing to increase. When banks lend money they are creating money, paying the interest back removes that money from the economy. So borrowing say £100,000 has caused that money to be created..
@clarkestravel@GyllKing@MasonsCoaches@CharlotteV Not survival of the fittest as the ones who also have stage carriage/school contract work are being well supported by the government. The government even touts this as support for the coaching industry despite no support for many operators.
@gameofchance3@Timcast In Chaz/Chop the ambulance guys refused (were not allowed) to enter an unsecured area without a police presence. The ambulance service may not have attended without the police. Also don't you want the guy in the white car arrested? @Timcast
@PriyamvadaGopal 'White man'. That's not a nice way of thanking the Australians! Racially groups a population that you are a part of! Put it this way are you white?
@tier__iii @jemelehill Just guess but it makes it easier to pull the door down. I pull some heavy curtains across a garage and don't have any knot so I wrap the rope around my hand several times in order to apply the force otherwise the rope would slip through my hand.
@jemelehill Apparently it was used to threaten the previous driver who used the garage. Shouldn't that driver be warned #Jamelehill after all he according to you is the real victim not Bubba.
@MicahNieman @TheRealOatrick @Timcast It not about her its about a guy who makes his living by being seen. To him he is publising this solely for his benefit. Its hard to believe the people wish to profit by chasing down and abusing a women. Welcome to 2020.
@TheRealOatrick @Timcast So even though it may not be true your perfectly ok with this guy threatening this women who is no doubt petrified. Scared for a good reason. What was his purpose is distributing this video? Abuse can be mental as well as physical.
@wendykarr@marklevinshow@KristaWriter Hunter Biden's work with the Ukrainian gas company was never government sanctioned however his Chinese dealing does seem to have been authorised by the state.
@TheDocSportello@RudyGiuliani At a guess I would have thought Meuller would have been looking into this as part of his report. However his report made no investigation into any potential corruption other than Trumps. Its almost as if Meuller and his team ignored it.
@UKRegulator@IanDunt 'Exit day' extension of the 31st October was decided before Boris Johnson became PM and the original date had to be included in an act of parliament which MP's voted on. Although I am not sure whether the MP's were required to vote on the extension date (they probably were).
@insertgeekname @matthewmaude@BBCPolitics After we leave the EU perhaps the government should change the supreme court to make it become more 'democratic'.
