In a DACI (or RACI) chart for a design team, DesignOps should show up as a player for almost every task or responsibility, maybe only as contributor or informed for some but #designops touches all aspects of a design team from strategy to process to resourcing.
3) With some context of their background from my wife it was heart-warming to see some of them, who maybe aren't considered "top students" by traditional standards, come to life when working with and talking about programming and robots. Glad to see schools embracing technology.
2) They were so comfortable on camera. They weren't all great on-screen talents but not a one showed any nerves. Their everyday communication methods have desensitized them to the common nerves that generations before them have struggled with. "Camera-shy" seems on its way out.

Something I said to someone recently about my new #DesignOps role "I still consider myself a designer 100%, it's just my medium and subject of focus has changed from product to people, really no other difference."
#DesignOps observation: Communicating in visuals (diagrams, charts, drawings, etc.) improves clarity, comprehension, and collaboration 2-3x. 5 minutes in Sketch to visualize a plan, process, idea can save hours of explanation and wasted time due to miscommunication.

Setting up an iPad for my daughter 😱. It's troubling how complex iOS has become over the years. Reminds me how a product's infancy is like a child's: immature, yet simple and pure. *Ask yourself: How do we sustain that child-like innocence and simplicity as our product matures?*
OH: To be clear a picture of stickies on a wall doesn't tell the reviewer anything. Showing process is good and evidence is great, but have a point to it and show how those sticky notes and your involvement in that process led to results.
Advice to designers when creating case studies: Yes, have them, they're excellent. However, make them 75% shorter than you think they need to be. Be succinct, bias towards *clear* visuals over verbose explanations.
