They’re all good. Maybe out of their prime funny times, but that’s how it goes with everyone in any creative career. And comedy and music and art taste changes over time on top of it.
It’s like Jim Carrey in the 90s versus now. Dumb and Dumber was prime.
Remember the good times 🤌
@VHSDVDBLURAY4K It’s cool everyone sort of banded together and is trying to send a message by voting with their dollars that we just want good movies again. Though I have a feeling they don’t care
Yeah deadlifts with a straight bar I gave up on too. Too much risk to reward.
As you learn more you start realizing the biases of modern fitness.
Like how the use of barbells grew out of the seed of 19th-century circus strongmen and military gymnasts. Iron bars were cheap and available. It’s not cause it was the “best” or “natural” way to work out.
Then gyms copied them, and sports science followed. Studying and validating bar workouts rather than exploring optimal human biomechanics with first principles.
Science proves bars work, but only because we built the entire research ecosystem around them. It is a historical bias.
Yes it can work and you can get strong and fit doing it, but you can also get strong and fit in other ways. Multiple ways to get from point A to B.
It’s easy to see when you pay attention to how you actually move heavy weight around in normal life.
It’s the same thing with shrugs, if you’re moving something heavy with your arms, your traps are more isometric muscles and your legs and calves doing the lifting.
