Venaani asked the prime minister that if we can’t handle 4 years kids begging in streets, will we handle them when they become adults? If we can’t handle kids being beggars, can we handle real issues of Namibia? He added that begging has never been part of our culture. Valid 🔥

NamWater Initiates Controlled Water Releases from Naute Dam
Updates from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water have indicated that NamWater has initiated controlled water releases from the Naute Dam today.
This is to maintain safe operating levels after the Naute Dam received significant inflows, which stood at 116.9% capacity.
This follows the rainfall recorded in the Hardap and //Kharas regions over the past few days, reports the Ministry.
The Ministry has advised all downstream communities and stakeholders to exercise caution and take the necessary precautionary measures in response to the expected increase in water flow.

People of Namibia
We MUST teach our Youth and Students to know the DIFFERENCE in the LANGUAGE and TEXT of our LAWS and in Particular our Constitution. There is a difference between “A TERM OF FIVE (5) YEARS” and when it is written “A TERM NOT EXCEEDING FIVE (5) YEARS”. The FIRST one, “A Term of 5 years” means the term is FIXED, MANDATORY and NON-NEGOTIABLE. The appointing authority has no discretionary powers to SHORTEN IT to 2 days, two weeks or 1 year. The second one, “A term not exceeding 5 years” - means the appointing authority has DISCRETIONARY POWER to shorten the term within the MAXIMUM LIMIT of 5 years. When our Constitution (Article 94B) says ECN Chairperson is appointed for “a Term of Five (5) years” it means Exactly that. What will happen is that if they Succeed to VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION, as planned, they will impose a pliable person for 6 months or 1 year—keeping them under their thumb, hoping for a FULL FIVE YEAR TERM. This destroys the independence of the Commission and turns it into a PUPPET SHOW. This person will be on REMOTE CONTROL and SALIVATE, as a Zombie for the Violators hoping for a 5 YEAR term later on. This person will be at Church and Prophets every Sunday. 5 Years is 5 Years. NO CORRUPTION. We will not allow it!!!
City of Windhoek enables municipal bus cards top-ups through PayPulse
The City of Windhoek has expanded its cashless public transport system through the integration of Standard Bank's PayPulse platform, enabling commuters to top up municipal bus cards directly from their mobile phones.
The new functionality allows passengers to load funds onto City of Windhoek bus cards via the PayPulse mobile application or USSD service, eliminating the need to visit physical top-up points and marking a further step in the city's digital transport transformation.
The development builds on Windhoek's transition to a fully cashless municipal bus system in August 2025, when the city introduced smart card payments across its public transport network.
Under the latest upgrade, commuters can register, manage and fund their travel accounts remotely using either smartphones or feature phones, broadening access to digital transport services.
