Glad fighters are getting more.
But the full context shows this does not deserve the victory lap Dana will surely take
In 2025 there were 280 finishes across UFC events.
💥 280 finishes × $25,000 = $7.0M per year
Looking ahead to 2026:
📅 43 events
🏆 4 bonuses per card
📈 Bonuses doubled from $50K to $100K = about +$8.6M per year
🔥 Finish bonuses add about +$7.0M per year based on the 2025 finish rate
Total additional spend lands around +$15.6M per year.
Now compare that to the Paramount U.S. media rights deal:
💰 That entire increase is still only a little over 1% of the annual U.S. TV money from Paramount alone.
And here’s the part people overlook.
In 2011 the UFC’s bonuses were at $75K, which is roughly $110K today after inflation.
Since then, the UFC’s U.S. TV rights revenue has increased by roughly 1000% from the FOX era to the new Paramount deal.
So yes, better than nothing and will definitely have a positive impact on the fighters lives.
But in the full UFC business context, it’s still a very small adjustment relative to the absurd growth of the company.
