Bishop Prosper Giles Rusike, General Secretary of the African Apostolic Church, underscores the church’s vital role in supporting government, particularly through prayer for the nation. He commends His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa as a leader attentive to the people, whose openness and accessibility foster trust and dialogue. In this spirit, he says the church finds it fitting and necessary to align itself with his sound and exemplary leadership.

There is no amount that can ever be enough to thank Coach Rambo for his amazing bravery rescuing these bodies in this sewer pit. As for Harare City Counsil how does it go that people disappear only to be found in this dump this is sad

Repealing Section 281(2) does NOT destroy the dignity of traditional leadership.
It simply removes one constitutional restriction and leaves the rest of the law and expectations on how chiefs conduct themselves.
Your claim that a chief “ceases to be a father of the whole community” the moment he is associated with politics is utter hogwash.
The real question is whether the Constitution should permanently lock traditional leaders into a model of political silence?
Yet our Chiefs have always been political. The First Chimurenga itself was led by Chiefs under the guidance of national spirit mediums.
#CA3 is an alignment of what we have always known and actually finally honours our traditional leadership rightly so.
Honourable MP, Section 281(2) was never a timeless safeguard of chiefly dignity. It was a 2013 political decision to remove the basic civic rights that every other Zimbabwean has under Section 67. Repealing it through Clause 21 does not destroy traditional leadership. It simply ends their treatment as second-class citizens who must pretend to be neutral while rural politics stay real.
Communities are not all the same politically. Pretending a chief can stay an impartial father above party competition has always been a fiction. It was often used only against the wrong side. What if chiefs openly support opposition parties? Open participation brings transparency either way. It allows accountability through existing traditional removal processes. It also gives back power to leaders who were once active governors, not silent custodians. A code of conduct from Parliament will still apply. The Bill of Rights will bind them like everyone else. Dignity comes from service and relevance, not forced silence. This clause modernises the institution without removing its cultural role.
And using your own logic, Honourable Coltart, in terms of the Constitution of Zimbabwe (2013), can judges be members of the legislature - like at least the 18 traditional leaders in the Senate - where they can sit, speak and vote? The answer is no, so keep judges out of this. Meanwhile, if it's ok for traditional leaders to do politics in Parliament as Senators, why is it not ok for them to do the same back home in their communal lands; when they're with the people they represent, as MPs?

Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume @JMafume has called for a full-scale investigation after three bodies were recovered from a muddy sewage pond in Budiriro, where the local council has been conducting excavation work as part of rehabilitation efforts. Veteran diver Victor Kazembe, widely known as Coach Rambo, was initially deployed following a report of a missing man. To his shock, he discovered not one but three bodies, including that of a young woman who had also been reported missing.
