Professional miniature painter from Kingston, Ontario. Commission, competition, and box art. Fascinated by light, colour, diversity. New dad. Queer. he/him
The toddler life has continued to mess with my social media presence, but I'm still getting some painting done - and, I dare say, improving.
For #wipwednesday, here's some progress shots of my favourite Disney princess, Aldrif Odinsdottir.
Model is Angela, from @atomicmassgames
For #WIPWedneday, a project for my next MCP roster. Enchantress is a powerful model I'd love to play with, but Amora is not a character I've ever had much interest in.
Sylvie, on the other hand ...
(Sculpted horns were the only actual change to the model by @atomicmassgames)
Still working on getting out all the models I painted and didn't post this summer!
This #miniaturemonday I have a few more models from Warcaster by @privateerpress.
A Marcher Worlds Hunter and Coalition Weaver, and an Iron Star Alliance Paladin Commander (Shepard)
Well, it's been a very long time since I've been on here, because reasons. But, here's a piece I finished a while ago as a gift for @NekuraIzou
And, as it's #WIPWedneday, you can find a bunch of the WIP photos here: https://t.co/N0QHSnvIeq
Well this one took A WHILE but the final Wakandan is done. No texture work this time around, just a lot of juggling colours and pushing my brush work as far as it would go. She deserves it.
Storm, from Marvel Crisis Protocol.
#miniaturemonday
I wasn't thinking about international women's Day when planning this #miniaturemonday post but I guess working on an A-force team makes it easy.
Final photos of Shuri (more on FB), wips of Storm and She Hulk. Storm continues to be a satisfying challenge.
Mos from Crisis Protocol
Finished Shuri but forgot to post her. Started on Storm (she counts as Wakandan, Storm/T'Challa OTP) and my goodness is this satisfying but HARD! I'm glad I opted for yellow instead of blue lightning.

#wipwednesday
Oh don't mind me, still struggling along with these Wakandans. Don't get me wrong, it's been fun, I just definitely set myself a harder task than I thought!
Shuri, from Marvel Crisis Protocol. The skirt is still very WiP.
#wipwednesday
Another #MiniatureMonday, another Wakandan. Killmonger may not look as impressive as Panther or Okoye but was actually a lot more work. There are just SO many different textures to work on - scars, cloth, metal, leather.
Lightbox photos on Facebook.
Model by @atomicmassgames
A bit of a late #miniaturemonday due to the holiday, but here's an update on Killmonger. It's not the most complex model and I figured it would be relaxing after Okoye.
Then I decided to add textures to everything.

It's a bit late for #wipwednesday but my third Wakandan is coming along. It was a real challenge to imply the texture of scarification on his skin without making it too cartoony but I think it works.
Also white pants.

Something a little different for #miniaturemonday today.
My finished command group starter for the Marcher Worlds faction for Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika by @privateerpress.
I finally have my pink army.

Oh right, I never posted finished Okoye. I must have repainted that shoulder pad five times, but with some choice advice from better painters than I whom I cannot find on twitter to tag, I feel like I made it work.

Panther and Okoye done, on to the third Wakandan. Seen here is some rough work before I start on the vision-taxing task of ... freehanding all those scars -_-
Maybe you know, maybe you don't, but a big part of me not posting much last year is I painted a bunch of box art, which I could not post before it was released. So today, for #miniaturemonday, here:
all the (released) models I painted for Board Dog Games in 2020.
I'll update this thread as I do more (and yes, there will be more), but for now you can find official pictures (and buy the models!) at https://t.co/bcHU9RJcuo.
Also, find AnA at https://t.co/PdUKKAsa0s or on twitter @BoardDogGames
Signe, medium armoured human woman. I didn't want to make her white or Black (because that's what Oili and Astrid are) but the features weren't quite right for most of my other ideas, so eventually I opted for this sort of Mediterranean tan.
