Watch the word he hides behind. COLLABORATION. As if it drifted onto his page like weather. But you review it, approve it, publish it. He didn't get caught. He CHOSE it.

His party says he accepted a 20-image post without realising. A leader who didn't check what he sent to 700,000? That's not a defence. That's the job abandoned.

This was no ambush. Not GB News. The BBC. Victoria Derbyshire, one of the straightest interviewers in the country, on Newsnight. She offered him the easiest out on live TV. Do you want to apologise? She asked it four times. Four times he refused.

When even a neutral BBC journalist can’t get you to say sorry for sharing a beheading, the problem was never the interview.

Then the excuse that should end him. It only got 1,000 likes, until Farage amplified it. So the beheading image was fine, as long as few WATCHED. The problem isn't what he shared. It's that people SAW.

Then the logic folds in. If I'd done it deliberately I'd apologise, he said, but because it was a mistake, I won't. We say sorry for mistakes BECAUSE they're mistakes.

Here’s the real reason. In his words, the moment he apologises, Farage runs all over social media. So it's not principle. It's TACTICS. A call for a man's beheading goes unapologised for, to save a campaign.

Even his OWN party apologised FOR him. He still wouldn't say it.

Now the part nobody else will touch. This is the man who warned Britain was descending into AUTHORITARIANISM, who calls our liberties “not negotiable,” who rails against arresting people for posts.

Until the post was his. Now he's reported to police, and suddenly he's the VICTIM. Free speech for me. The full weight of the law for you.

Lucy Connolly posted a call to set fire to asylum hotels, deleted it within hours, apologised, and got 31 MONTHS. A party leader shares a call for a man’s beheading, deletes it only when it trends, won’t apologise, and so far faces nothing.

Both posts called for violence. Only one person went to prison.

Same country. Two rules.

So what is he, this man who won't say one word?

It's ARROGANCE. The belief he sits above the accountability demanded of everyone else.

It's COWARDICE, and he admitted it. He won't apologise because it would cost him. Fear wearing a suit.

It's CONTEMPT. For you, the public, the murdered. That you'll just forget.

It's NARCISSISM. He shares the blade, then rewrites the story until HE is the wounded one and underneath it all, SHAMELESSNESS. A person with shame apologises. He feels none.

Not brave. Not principled. The smallest kind of coward. The kind who dresses it up as courage.

The mask didn't slip. He pressed accept on it and still couldn't manage one word.

Jameela Jamil Wants a Verdict on History. History Doesn't Give Simple Ones

Jameela Jamil says British people are "the most evil people in history." She compares Britain to Thanos, the genocidal supervillain from the Marvel comic book franchise. It's a claim that asks to be tested, not against Britain's record alone, but against the standard "most evil" implies: worse than everyone, everywhere, always. That standard doesn't survive contact with the twentieth century, and it doesn't survive contact with the history of the subcontinent Jamil claims to speak for either.

Start with the century she's actually living in the shadow of. It gave the world the Holocaust, the Holodomor, the Cambodian killing fields, and Mao's Great Leap Forward, a policy that starved tens of millions of Chinese peasants through famine engineered by ideology. None of that requires defending the British Empire's record, which has real crimes attached to it. It requires noticing that "most evil in history" is a superlative, and superlatives need to survive comparison. This one doesn't.

Nor does the idea that the subcontinent's own history is free of the kind of violence Jamil reserves for Britain alone. The caste system, a hierarchy that predates British rule and outlasted it, subjected so-called "untouchables" to systematic exclusion, forced labour and violence for centuries, a practice that persists in parts of India today despite decades of law aimed at ending it. Sati, the practice of burning widows alive on their husbands' funeral pyres, was widespread enough in parts of India that the British colonial government banned it by law in 1829, a detail that sits awkwardly against any narrative in which Britain supplies only cruelty and India only its victims.

Partition itself, in 1947, deserves care rather than a simple verdict. Historians still argue over how much blame lies with Britain's rushed and poorly managed withdrawal versus the communal violence that followed it, and serious scholarship puts the death toll anywhere between 200,000 and over three million, with mass rape and abduction on all sides, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh alike. Nobody serious blames "India" for this the way Jamil blames "Britain" for empire. But that's precisely the point: history this complicated resists the kind of single-word verdict, evil, that Jamil is reaching for.

None of this is offered as a scorecard, as though enough atrocities on one side cancel out another's. It's offered because "most evil in history" is a category that collapses the moment you actually apply it to any nation with a few centuries of history behind it. Every old civilisation, every empire, every subcontinent carries chapters its descendants would rather not examine too closely. Singling out one country for the superlative, while treating your own historical and ancestral ground as innocent by comparison, isn't a reckoning with history. It's a selective one.

None of this requires pretending colonial history is closed or comfortable. It isn't, and serious historians continue to argue over the scale of what was extracted from India under British rule. That argument deserves to happen on its actual terms, weighed against the actual historical record on every side of it, not through a comparison to a comic book villain on a podcast.

What Jamil offered wasn't a reckoning with empire. It was a maximalist claim that only works if you don't look too closely at anyone's history, including her own. The twentieth century has genuine contenders for its worst chapters. So, in quieter and more complicated ways, does every old civilisation on earth. "Most evil in history" isn't an accounting. It's a headline that only survives if nobody checks it.

When they opened the borders to eye wateringly vast amounts of immigration without giving any consideration to the problems this will cause downstream, this is what you get: oil and water. By this I mean that know matter how hard I try to think flexibly about what he means by this, I am not able to understand this from his perspective and think "yes I can see the point he is trying to make here". I just don't have the cultural lens to make any sense of this. "Appeasing the far-right". The irony of those words right there is beyond astonishing. Appeasement got us into this mess in the first place and this reveals just how far the state has drifted because of no boundary setting whatsoever. Sectarian politics is now in the bloodstream of British politics and this story is just one example of this. We have imported hatred of the Jews en-masse and it infuriates me. This country is in one hell of a mess and I often think we have gone past the point of no return. Again, Lebanon springs to mind.

As someone who has driven to Devon from Sheffield, it is a horrible journey, 300 miles.

If traffic is clear, it's roughly 5 hours.

He left his home at 7:50. Police have stated that Ann was attacked at 12:30. That's 4 hours 40 to get down, enter the property and attack her. He's done all that in 4 hours and 40 minutes.

It just feels impossible to do so if it wasn't premeditated.
From Rotherham at 7:50, you're hitting traffic straight away getting on the motorway, that sits in-between Sheffield and Rotherham; and then driving down the M1 past Nottingham and Derby without hitting traffic at 8:30, then cutting through Birmingham at 9am.

What I mean is, he must have not stopped off. He must have already filled the car up.
