Candiace Dillard Bassett is opening up about the real reason she decided to leave The Real Housewives of Potomac, saying the fallout from the allegations surrounding her husband, Chris Bassett, ultimately became too much to bear.

During a recent appearance on the Pop Syllabus podcast, the former RHOP star reflected on filming Season 7, when Gizelle Bryant questioned Chris' intentions after a private
conversation in her hotel dressing room following the Season 6 reunion. While Gizelle repeatedly stated Chris never touched her or made any sexual advances, Candiace has long argued the storyline unfairly damaged her husband's reputation.
