If you're from Baah Yard, Awoshie heading to Ablekuma, the traffic starts all the way from Pallas town to Ablekuma Olebu... It's best if you look for an alternate route cos it's bad... Really bad!!!
I got to the ministry and didn't see my name on the guest list for the stakeholder engagement...
I was about to leave... Then the receptionist asked that we check again...
Only for me to see "Spiky Nkrumah"!
At this point I have to stop mentioning my government name 🤣
The NITA bill is just 1 out of 15 bills. I've downloaded all the bills and numbered them in an order that makes sense. Read them from 1 to 15 and the whole picture will be clearer.
Download them here: https://t.co/e5XUOyqLLN
We wish to inform the general public and all stakeholders that the proposed X Space discussion on the new NITA Bill has been rescheduled.
🗓️ New Date: Tuesday, 26th May 2026
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM GMT
The rescheduling is to allow for broader /1
So wait ooo... 😭
If I don’t get certified locally under an unclear definition of what an "ICT Professional" even means…
I could potentially struggle to get an IT-related job here in Ghana.
But at the same time…
I can still:
work remotely for a company in another country,
move abroad and continue building,
register my company elsewhere,
ship my products internationally,
launch SaaS tools globally,
serve foreign clients online,
and contribute to economies outside Ghana…
all from the same laptop and internet connection.
🤣😂🤣😂
And THAT is the irony I think many people are trying to highlight.
Technology talent doesn't behave like traditional labour anymore.
You cannot regulate digital innovation the same way you regulate physical industries tied to one location.
A developer in Accra today can work for:
an AI startup in Canada,
a fintech in Nigeria,
a SaaS company in Estonia,
or a tech firm in the US…
without ever leaving their room.
The best builders won't stop building because of a regulation...
They will simply:
relocate,
work remotely,
"register elsewhere",
or build for foreign markets instead.
And that is why modern tech ecosystems try very carefully to avoid creating excessive friction for young innovators, startups, freelancers, and self-taught talent. (Emphasis on the latter, cos that's pretty much all techies.)
What we will be witnessing won't be the danger of the death of innovation..
It will be that the innovation will quietly borga/jakpa!!! 🤷🏾♂️
Brain drain anyone?????
I agree with you, and that's actually the case for keeping Gold Fields IN while deepening Ghanaian ownership. What Manteaw even said this week: if Gold Fields has met its obligations, renew the lease. Meanwhile convert the state's 10% free-carried interest into real equity. List them on GSE. Let ordinary Ghanaians own shares. That's how Norway became the richest country in the world off oil, not by kicking out the operators, but by taking equity stakes and building the Ghana Sovereign Wealth Fund equivalent. What developed-countries are doing isn't nationalization. It's equity participation.
Stop treating relationships like annual procurement contracts. What do you do for your man on his birthday? Work and get yourself the present you desire.
This is simple, really. He's giving you the power to choose to engage. If you engage, you're interested, if you don't, no one is pestering you when you know you're not interested. W-W, really.
