Hey Jack, any thoughts on how people get around TikTok shadow banning accounts or limiting the visibility if you post through postbridge api? Someone mentioned that they post to drafts and then post manually from devices? From your experience talking to customers, what is the best approach there?
I've been in kind of a similar place. I have also read articles about the dangers of scattered focus, but I feel like with AI, it's become even more possible to not have scattered focus (in the sense that you can automate parts of businesses like bug fixing, etc. pretty easily with AI)
What do you think about Shiny Object Syndrome in this new time where we can literally stand up new Internet businesses in a day or two?
I feel like it's fine if you have a system and you have multiple bets, but you take the time to grow one bet at a time. You still need deep work and concentrated work on one particular thing at a time, but you can have multiple things in a year by doing that, by having sort of seasons
mental trick with huge impact
no one is better than you. no one is smarter than you. no one can work harder than you. the only reason someone is better than you at something is that they have been doing it for longer. remind yourself of this often, you will turn your life around
I've done a complete U-turn on my opinion on open source AI. We should be careful (and probably disallow release) of models on par with current open source Astra/Opus level models.
AI is now reverse engineering games from binaries and remaking them. Reverse engineering games is a very hard problem. If this is possible then reverse engineering banking software, ID systems (Aadhaar), flights, etc is possible too. A game ships its binary to every player. Bank and Aadhaar backends are protected by servers, but it's unlikely the security teams at these are smarter than advanced AI that can do this to games.
We are protected rn because a Claude will refuse to tick "I'm not a robot" on websites. When OSS models don't respect that, we have a looming cybersecurity problem. Apologies I didn't see this earlier.
@jackfriks The one cool thing with these agents like Muse and Grokbot, is that I was just able to ask them to cancel my Adobe subscription and they did it with computer use
@thekitze Okay, super interesting. I just feel like there are too many ads, especially on mobile. It feels like, I think, every other design is an ad, so I literally had trouble eyeballing the real designs to see the value of the website.
Just have kids and you won’t be lonely and won’t have to plan elaborate “friend” get togethers and very quickly you’ll realize doing a puzzle with your 3 year old or helping your 5 year old learn how to read or dancing to Disney songs with them is infinitely more fulfilling and fun then and better for loneliness then constantly having large get togethers with your friends like you’re still in college.
