@PVHaltonOBE US warships anchored in the Solent routinely maintain a cordon using their cutter. Basic security in this day and age. I skipped racing yachts in the channel for over 20 years. Always a good idea to give bigger (and especially warships) ships plenty of space!

@PolitlcsUK The yacht crew claim they altered course by 2 degrees. That’s not enough to signal to a warship that you understand their instruction and intend to keep clear. People citing IRPCS (ColRegs) without context have no idea. I’ve made over 100 channel crossings by yacht.

@gregbagwell What is a resigning issue is having to say to the SofS and PM that you can no longer afford to train or arm the soldiers committed to the defence of UK and in support of NATO. You cannot just go along with the make believe if you have any integrity.
