@webb128659 @XFreeze If you had two stops 400 miles apart, couldn’t you charge while loading/unloading and then drive a load back? More than 400 in a day. What am I missing?
@JesseinthePass@StephenFleming@elonmusk@levi@SawyerMerritt Your starlink satellite uses radio waves, not laser link. The satellites currently use laser link between them. But laser link to ground in the future WILL be affected by clouds and weather.
@tarastrahl@beffjezos I actually think it’s closer to he can post them, because he doesn’t care whether he accomplishes it or not, he just cares that it gets done. Like how he would say that if somebody else made an EV that put Tesla out of business, it would still be net positive for the world.
@TheVegasAaron@farzyness This process occurs already in my older Tesla with v3, if i don’t keep a hand on the wheel the screen flashes, then it beeps, then it red alerts and eventually will slow down to a stop. Plenty of time to take back over. I think it would be pretty cool, and leave people wanting
@pradeepmmroy @nikitabier@wholemars That was only for lists where Apple had editorial control. The lists that were based on most downloads have always shown Elon’s companies. I also think that was more targeted at grok than X
@d3vo42@SawyerMerritt@Tesla@elonmusk While I agree with the sentiment. If you follow SpaceX and what is required to create a self-sustaining colony on Mars, which won’t be profitable (at least in the short term) I’m sure Elon is looking to use some of the trillion to fund that venture.
@eriqbre@TheSonOfWalkley Those hands look like dummy hands, not articulating hands. As though this Optimus is made more for talking to and walking around.
@Devlinside123@patrick_oshag@jliemandt I think that’s the “breakthrough” that these schools tout. They use AI to give these kids the 1v1 coaching and teaching, with teachers in the class to supplement. But the majority of the teaching is an AI which has tailored the lesson plan to the kid’s level and learning style.
@Devlinside123@patrick_oshag@jliemandt With respect, since you were a private academic coach, weren’t you able to improve the testing of kids in the bottom 50%? If you could do it, why couldn’t any quality school do the same?
This is the definitive conversation on Alpha School with @jliemandt, who is the school’s principal and backer.
What if kids could learn in two hours a day, test in the top 1% nationally, spend their afternoons mastering other great skills, AND love school more than vacation?
What sounds impossible is already happening at Alpha. If you are a parent like me, it’s impossible not to wonder how to make sure your kids will benefit from this enormous innovation.
We explore everything in exhaustive detail—the learning science, the role of software and AI, the central role of motivation, the challenges of scaling to ALL kids, and more.
Joe is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in history, who has now decided to devote his next two decades to ushering in a new era of education. I hope this becomes a historically important episode.

@youkhna@minimalcompany Can you have your iPhone forward calls/texts to this phone temporarily, if you’re wanting to just detox from your smartphone for the weekend or so?
@youkhna This is awesome. Is there a way to switch relatively easily back and forth between this phone and your regular smart phone? If you can master that, you will have a huge hit on your hands.
