We are too dishonest to prosper.

We lie too much.

Slander comes naturally and we feel no sting of the evil of assassinating another person's character.

We exaggerate almost every story. So we have accepted misrepresentation of facts as normal.

We don't care to be dependable. We tell people we will come at a particular time but we never even planned to meet that time. Even our apologies for lateness are lies because we don't really mean them.

We are constantly acting, pretending to believe what we don't believe, pretending to be what we are not.

Our society can not prosper. And it won't be white supremacy and western hegemony that stops us from flourishing.

We will never build a good civilisation because we cannot even trust each other.

None of us can call a vendor and be sure that the vendor will deliver what we paid them for.

None of us can vote and be sure the politician meant their promises.

Satan is the father of liars. He is the king of our society because too many of us are liars.

Our society can never flourish. Not until we stop lying.

Even in the church, we have a whole bunch of lying clergymen. And their members just don't care.

We don't admire the truth. We are not offended by lies. As long as it means money and power for us.

Who will invest in a society of liars?

How will gifted people be allowed to contribute to a society of liars? How can there be meritocracy when there cannot even be truth?

How will people feel safe in a society of liars?

How can people make long term plans for their children's generation when everyone is a liar?

How can you plan a business when all the policy makes and law enforcement agents are liars?

It cannot be well with our civilisation. We will not build any thing worthwhile.

Not until we stop being liars.
Not until wickedness ends in our hearts.

And no amount of prayer and positive confession will save this country. Because the prayers of evil doers is an abomination to God.

This country will not prosper until we have a revival where people turn away from their wickedness and turn to God.

Prov 14:34
Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a reproach to any people.

Prosperity gospel will not help this country. Infamming the affections for mammon and power will not help this country.

The preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ is what will save this country.

Pray that God will deliver Nigerians from their wickedness-

Peradventure He will have mercy on us and give us repentance. We may yet stand a chance to build a better civilisation like the Christian ancestors of the west built for their descendants.

Nigeria, turn away from your wickedness. Turn to Jesus.

Save your souls from the coming wrath. That wrath is coming.

Every single person will pay for their evil. As sure as this world exists, it's end will come and it's creator will judge.

Only Jesus can save you from the wrath to come.

Instead of trying to put away those filthy thoughts, why not think on good things?

Trying to not think of dirty things makes you think of them. Try not to think of an elephant and elephants will play like reels on your mind.

So do this. Meditate on scriptures, God's grace to you, God's Holiness-

Meditate on nature and the sheer awe and power that created it and sustains it-

Meditate on heaven and the glories to come-

Meditate on the virtuous things you're meant to do in the work of your hands-

Meditate on christian doctrine and how best to articulate it to your generation-

Meditate on the testimonies and benefits that God has blessed you with in the past-

Meditate on philosophy, beautiful art.

Stop trying to put nasty thoughts away to no avail. Instead, dwell on higher thoughts. Let them expel the evil thoughts for you.

The more you meditate on beautiful things, the more natural they will come over time. And the less affinity your mind will have to sinful thoughts.

That's the way it works.

To not think of something, you have to think of the thing you don't want to think about 😂 😂. And that's why trying to put evil thoughts away don't work.

You can only replace thoughts. You can't just banish them.
