Russell Westbrook reportedly grew tired of LeBron’s “fake” behavior during their time in L.A, per @YaronWeitzman
“I hate that fake sh*t, I just can’t do it.” 😳
• LeBron quietly pushed for a reunion with Kyrie Irving — a move that would’ve required trading Westbrook, despite publicly denying it.
• LeBron often said “Let Russ be Russ” in interviews but didn’t actually support him behind the scenes.
• During a Lakers team event where Will Smith came to speak, LeBron and AD suddenly walked out before he arrived. Minutes later, they returned acting overly friendly—LeBron dominated the talk, asking questions and quoting movie lines.
Westbrook, watching in disbelief, told a teammate after:
“I hate that fake sh*t. I just can’t do it.”
• Westbrook saw multiple examples of LeBron misrepresenting himself — like claiming The Godfather was his favorite movie but not knowing a single line, carrying The Autobiography of Malcolm X to interviews without being able to discuss it, and even saying he predicted Kobe’s 81-point game. These moments made Russ view LeBron as inauthentic.

Game 3: LeBron went 0-0-0 in the Final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.
Game 4: LeBron went for 0 PTS (0-2 FG) in the entire 4th quarter of a close game.
Don’t ever mention him with Jordan again.
History will prove that Lebron’s Era was not dominated by him. It was dominated by Steph Curry.
Steph has stayed loyal to one team, made his teammates better and done WAY more with less. He has changed the game more than LeBron could have ever dreamed of.
LeBron has hopped around from team to team & tried his best to team up with as many all-stars & future HOFs as possible. He’s blamed playoff failures on many of his coaches he helped get fired. His style of play (mostly his flopping & super team building) has hurt the overall product. The nepotism leading to his son, Bronny, getting drafted will not age well either.
Steph Curry even outshined LeBron in the Olympics.
While LeBron will always be a basketball legend, and deserves respect for his on the court accomplishments, he’ll never be remembered as the best player of his era.
Tatum weighs a buck fitty soaking wet.
Bron 6’9/260 of super freak superhuman strength.
He gets beat so he flops.
Bron makes a mockery of the game. MJ, Kobe, & every player in the 90’s never needed to cheat the game.
Michael Jordan led the NBA in scoring with 35 points a game in 1988. He was also the Defensive Player of the Year. It’s gonna be a long wait for the next motherfucker to come along who’s the best at offense AND defense. And, in case you wondered, he’s the only one to ever do it.
I saw a post earlier today where a guy said “Someone needs to explain to me what Jordan was better at than LeBron.”
Offense and defense. I hope that clears it up.
@therealnavib Hahaha. You’re right. That does say it all. From what I remember…it wasn’t 2 games worth of shots from the perimeter..we are talking 2 games worth of legit chances. Zero goals. Amazing.
During the 2002-03 season, Michael Jordan played in all 82 games and averaged 37 minutes a game.
He was 40.
It’s embarrassing the NBA now has to threaten teams with fines to play their best players every night.
I never thought I’d live to see the day when Michael Jordan’s status as the GOAT was disputed. It took one fucking generation. This is why old men are so goddamn cranky. They’ve spent the past 50 years watching the world get stupider.
Incredible.
Based on a recent Player Poll by the Athletic, and 25 years after playing his last game with the Bulls, Michael Jordan is not only still considered the GOAT by his own generation, but the LeBron generation as well.
Btw, LeBron has had 20 years to chip away. It's not working.
