Israeli researchers at Hebrew University of Jerusalem have achieved a major breakthrough in cultivated meat production - developing a method that reduces the cost of growing steak-like tissue by up to ten times, potentially making lab-grown meat viable for global consumers.

The innovation uses a plant-based cellulose scaffold to attach growth factors directly to cell structures, dramatically lowering the expense of proteins that have historically been the bottleneck in scaling production. When cooked, the cultivated tissue exhibits browning, texture, and mechanical properties nearly identical to conventional beef. Israel has unveiled an ambitious National Energy Plan for 2035 designed to triple its renewable electricity generation and reshape the country's energy infrastructure, with a target of 26 gigawatts of installed renewable capacity by the end of the decade.
The plan, presented to President Isaac Herzog, would expand Israel's current eight gigawatts of installed renewable capacity - which accounts for roughly 16 percent of national electricity consumption - to meet growing demand and reduce reliance on conventional energy sources. Educational achievement in Israel: female Muslim students outnumber their male counterparts by more than double in university enrollment!

The statistics according to Central Bureau of Statistics, show that nearly 50,000 Muslim students are enrolled in Israeli higher education institutions. Over three-quarters of Israel's approximately 409,000 Muslim students are eligible for their high school diploma, with women leading the way in university enrollment. The Muslim population comprises nearly 19% of Israel's total population with a growth rate of 1.8%; the largest Muslim population resides in Jerusalem.

Amateur footage out of Manchester shows Greater Manchester Police officers tasering and detaining 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 who were walking through the area 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬. The men reportedly claimed the blades were carried for “𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭” or religious purposes — the standing UK exemption that lets certain ceremonial blades be carried in public.

The bystander narrating the clip flagged the operational detail that should matter to every Briton: the suspects were on the phone for 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 before officers moved in. Police hustled them out of the area, the videographer speculated, on the assumption that “𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘶𝘱.”

The political context the British press is finally catching up to: the religious-carry exemption is at the centre of a national debate after the m∗rder of 𝟏𝟖-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐤 by 23-year-old Vickrum Singh Digwa. Per court evidence, Digwa was carrying 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 — a Sikh kirpan AND a separate 21cm knife. The court found the 21cm blade was the m∗rder weapon. Hampshire Police later apologised for 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐜𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐤 after Digwa falsely told officers HE was the racial-abuse victim. An IOPC investigation is open.

Reform’s Robert Jenrick has pledged to scrap the religious-carry exemption. The Sikh Federation UK has clarified the exemption was never intended to shield violent use. The Jews lived in the Holy Land for centuries, even before the Romans named the land “Palestina.”

During the Ottoman occupation, Jews lived legally in Jerusalem and major cities in the Old Yishuv. Ottoman Jews were there long before the rise of the Zionist movement in Europe.

Even during the British colonial rule, a.k.a. the British Mandate of Palestine, which started in 1917, the Jewish community prospered. Jews bought land legally and turned the desert into a paradise.

When Britain returned the mandate to the UN, the Jews accepted the partition plan and agreed to establish a Jewish state next to an Arab state and live in peace with their Arab neighbors. But the Arab Muslims rejected it and repeatedly started wars to destroy the State of Israel and ethnically cleanse the Jews. They lost all the wars they started.

Somehow, they managed to convince people in the West that Jews are “illegals” in the Land of Israel and that Israel has no right to exist. This is the big lie.

It’s time to end supermarket farmwashing that cons shoppers into thinking they are buying British farm food, when it’s foreign food.

It’s not just a con. It hurts British farmers by consumers being tricked into buying foreign food rather than British food. It’s time for clear country of origin labelling on all supermarket food.

Palestine Action protesters could be sentenced as TERRORISTS after violent raid on Israeli defence firm

Four activists Charlotte Head, 30, Samuel Corner, Leona Kamio and Fatema Rajwani, 21 were convicted of criminal damage at Woolwich Crown Court last week over the 6 August 2024 raid on Elbit Systems UK near Bristol.

The group rammed the factory gates with an old prison van, then used crowbars and sledgehammers to smash computers, drones and equipment while spraying red paint across the site in red boiler suits.

Samuel Corner was also found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm after fracturing a police sergeant’s spine during the clash.

Judge Mr Justice Johnson ruled the offences have a “terrorist connection” because of their link to Palestine Action’s campaign against the Israeli-owned arms firm.

Sentencing is set for 12 June 2026 and could carry much harsher terrorism-style penalties.
