@ajebson Fantastic work Toby! The original drawing by Raphael is really large and done in chalk. With silverpoint, heads should be drawn a bit smaller because the medium is much finer. I’d recommend a scale of about an orange size so that the marks merge more effectively

Making historical reconstructions gives me the tools I need to decode the mysteries of what drawing meant to Renaissance artists, and how they drew. Hand-forging and making by hand each of their materials for drawing provides me with tactile information unavailable from reading
