Coaches, while you’re doing your post-season evals and you’re getting ready for your 2024 opponents, why not have an organized place to collect your thoughts?

@AlexDaAverage@_coachevans 1) In multi-back sets, those kids are gonna average 12-15 a game. I’m just going back to what you said about running them into the ground.
2) Tape vs Quality Tape matters.
@AlexDaAverage@_coachevans 1) If a RB can’t handle 12-15 a game in HS, would you sign him?
2) If I meet the measurables, yes. But, touches are earned, not given no matter how you want to think about it. If he deserves a bigger number, he’ll get it. Idc what offense it is or what level it is.
@AlexDaAverage@_coachevans As far as wear and tear… in a multi-back offense, your top ball carrier might carry it 125-150 times on the high end over 10 games. Is that too much for you?
How many clips do you think a pass catcher needs on film to persuade a potential college coach? I’m just curious
@MagnusFTS “short slow guy” - proceeds to mention a 4 year starter at Clemson and former Pro Bowler
and I think I speak for everyone when I say that coaches would adjust their scheme for that talent… even if he is just a short slow guy like Hunter Renfrow
@AlexDaAverage@_coachevans how is it a bad thing for one skill kid to not get enough touches but then at the same time it’s a bad thing for a kid to get too many?
would you turn away a D1 at WR/TE because he only caught 20 balls his senior year or D Henry because he ran it 400 times?
I’m as RTDB heavy as anyone, and I’m gonna agree with this one to a point
but I don’t think it comes down to run/pass
it really is:
1) players > plays
2) adaptability within said scheme
The WingT isn't a great scheme fit for every program no matter how much diehards want to act like it is. Plenty of programs are ruined with run heavy offenses every year but its fun to pretend that "run the damn ball" is chiseled on the original 10 commandments.
@Del492503852181@TheJgriff73@_coachevans Can you list out those 5-6 plays for me I can make sure we don’t run them since you know exactly when we’re gonna run them? thanks ✌🏼
Chargers OC Mike McDaniel on Quentin Johnston:
"I think he's a guy that has some traits in his game that are similar to some very powerful, explosive, productive receivers I've had in the past... Namely Julio Jones and Andre Johnson... so we're pushing him."

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa was released on this day in 2010. EA's ace tournament tie-in delivered smooth gameplay, the divisive vuvuzela drone, strong commentary and a cracking soundtrack. Screeds of teams and an immersive Story of Qualifying mode. Memories of this one?
It's that time of the year where we post the greatest video package WWE has ever done.
