#MinionsandMonsters the best of the Minions sub-franchise. An exaggerated constantly amusing prequel of them in 1920's Hollywood. Explores film making in some fun ways. The Minions have been entertaining for nearly 2 decades, doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. (7.2/10)
#TheBear final season starts off oddly, but settles in with good character moments. I really appreciated how it goes back to the stress of the first two seasons. Plays more like an epilogue to season 4 but these characters get the happy ending they deserve. (7.6/10)
#JackassBestandLast is pretty much 80% old footage with maybe 5 new skits. Still funny of course with some solid laughs every now and then, but probably the weakest of the 5 films. I appreciated the unseen early 2000s MTV footage and had a decent time overall. (7/10)
The villain is barely in it & makes almost no impact. Script could've been a little better too & this movie would benefit from being 20 minutes longer to expand on the narrative. Solid action though & makes me very excited to see her in 2027's Man of Tomorrow. (7.4/10)
#Supergirl is a perfectly fine space adventure. Mily Alcock is superb in the role & portrays this more conflicted version of the character from the comic this is based on admirably. Jason Momoa as Lobo is near perfect casting & has some of the films funnier moments. (1/2)
#VoxMachina season 4 its best season yet. The writing and characters are perfected. Ashley Johnson as Pike truly shines this time around, to put it mildly. Goes darker than ever & forgoes epic scale for deeper morally complex personal stories that work extremely well. (9.1/10)
#WidowsBay an excellent comedy horror series with great characters, Stephen Root is always a plus, intriguing history & genuinely creepy moments throughout. Matthew Rhys' comedic delivery & dramatic capabilities are on full display here. Another Apple TV winner. (8.4/10)
#ToyStory5 is an absolute delight and a night & day improvement over 4. Focusing on Jessie was the right call and it gets very emotional to a degree I didn't see coming, even by Pixar standards. Tackles the complexity of tech & playing with toys well. (8.6/10)
#DisclosureDay okay at best. Spielberg's direction is still on point & it starts off well. Unfortunately, as it goes on, it's brought down by many plot holes, scenes that drag on & anti-climatic ending. Emily Blunt is unreal here, but not enough to save it for me. (6.8/10)
#ScaryMovie is unbelievably dumb, but I got a few decent laughs out of it. Seeing the main cast reunite is fun and some of the jokes do land pretty well. The new cast tries a little too hard. Not the best of this franchise, but not the worst either. (6.5/10)
#MastersOfTheUniverse first 15 minutes I wasn't feeling it, overuse of humor/odd tone. Then suddenly, it locks in & doesn't let up. I ended up having a blast. Awesome action on a grand scale. A good message about believing in yourself. Big Guardians vibes. Recommend. (8.3/10)
#TheBackrooms brings the Youtube/4chan liminal horror concept to life & for first time director, Kane Parsons, it's impressive. It utilizes silence & uneasiness to great effect. A slightly shaky third act aside, this & Obsession have made 2026 a memorable year for horror. (8/10)
#MargotsGotMoneyTroubles entirely engaging & grounded series about motherhood & dysfunctional families. Offerman & Pfeiffer are great though it's Elle Fanning, who's quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses, that is immaculate here. Thrilled this got renewed. (8.4/10)
#MandalorianandGrogu a low point for the Star Wars franchise. It's a longer episode, that doesn't do anything new. The characters are there to give information only & it's quite boring often. One okay action scene towards the end. It's sadly forgettable in many ways. (6.2/10)
#TheBoys final season is pretty decent. Each character gets their moments & the ending worked as well it could, but it felt smaller scale than expected. Spends much of its time setting up new characters & the trademark satirical humor often gets in the way this time. (7.2/10)
#PunisherOneLastKill brings Frank Castle's story full circle. The most violent side project Marvel has done. The villain is an afterthought, but Jon Bernthal is so good in this role for so long now, it's hard to care too much. Can't wait to see him return in Spider-Man. (7.7/10)
#Rooster filled with humor & heart, has Steve Carell's best comedic performance since The Office. Uses element's of Bill Lawrence's other shows, Shrinking & Ted Lasso, to great effect. One side story didn't work for me, but the rest of it is such an easy watch. (8.2/10)
#MortalKombat2 a self-aware, big dumb fun summer popcorn movie. Scenes ripped straight from the games, brutal fatalities & Karl Urban as Johnny Cage was a highlight. The story is razor thin & is an excuse for the fights but in the end, I had a pretty good time with it. (7.4/10)
#DareDevilBornAgain season 2, an improvement. Story flows smoother, the climax of Kingpin & Daredevil comes to a satisfying end. Bullseye doing his thing is awesome. Street level MCU is something I always appreciate. Sets up future defenders/Spiderman/Punisher nicely. (8.4/10)
#MaulShadowLord is Star Wars animation at its best. An excellent character study of Maul, the lightsaber fights are top notch. Supporting characters all have interesting story arcs. Expands on lore in unique & thought provoking ways. Canβt wait for season 2. (8.7/10)
