@pearlosnhlpow That’s fair, but be accumulated a tonne of prospects and should have used them as leverage for guys with term . The longer he held and those guys didn’t develop as planned their value sank. That is the risk you run. Need to assess earlier and be bold .

imagine thinking a fan base is toxic bc they watched a home town kid for 9 years, cheered him on, overpaid him, defended when other fan bases destroyed him, now one playoff run changes that? He was part of the problem, he created his own image.

I just dont know how you call a fanbase that watched a player for 9 seasons - toxic? He needed a fresh start but he created his image.

@HennyTweets He failed miserably and truth be told the whole core did. The others stayed to fight the home town baby left for a weaker division. He didn’t just leave , he plotted to punish them despite being overpaid his whole career, bc he was jealous he wasn’t worshiped as much as 34.

The way he is playing now just cements how soft he was, I don't care if he wins multiple cups, he bailed, just accentuates he couldn't handle anything mentally in Toronto. The guy left his home lol. His groupies will tell you he was forced out- real leaf fans know, who cares....
