@nicmillerstale Brilliant fun. I’ve never rolled out anything that was as stress-free to roll out. And lard keeps for ages, so lots of fun all year - thanks for this.
@SouthLondonGirl Koshari - a festival of carbs topped with a sharp tomato sauce and some very browned onions. Preceded by M&S nibbles because I was given a gift card this afternoon.
@SouthLondonGirl Pomegranate Molasses. Was the end of the bottle, there may have been insufficient Pom Mol, as it turned out. Livers were nice though. How were carrots?
@SouthLondonGirl I’m doing second sausage recipes from the ‘buy once eat three times’ section of Bee Wilson’s new book. With kimchi last night was great. Tonight, crumble and mix with butter beans to make koftas.
@SouthLondonGirl Sounds good. I’m having a venison steak with anchovy butter. There is a beetroot/apple purée in freezer from Jane Grigson on Veg. Fried pots, because boiled pots last night. Can I squeeze in some soured cream? Or indeed Dijon?
@SouthLondonGirl I have peaches and halloumi, and I have asked AI to suggest third salad ingredient. It came up with chicory, so I’m off to the shops to see if there is any.
@SouthLondonGirl Also suggests tom sauce variation. Key method seems to be - boil entire cabbage for ‘a few minutes’; roll parcels of outer leaves - bake in butter and splash water for 30min covered, add sauce and finish uncovered. Shred inner leaves and fry in butter ‘alongside’. (Or tomorrow!)
