@solentsport these sort of pitches highlight the value of a top spinner (no offence intended to van Buuren), this would be the sort of day to hold an end up with a spinner and let the seamers have a good rest between spells

@solentsport re the gubbins decision, I think it was very sporting of the umpire to make a better game of it, looked like the only way he was getting out this year
