@lzon_ca Neat trick! Do you find that the boilerplate for all the iterator traits pays off for this kind of thing? I always do the bare minimum when I make custom iterators and now I wonder what I'm missing ๐ค
i got sick of the corporate 9-5 life and all the LLM madness, so i decided i'm going to take some time off to do whatever. one of the first things i want to do is revive the neglected blog section of my website. https://t.co/SSxvUALr7j... #blog#indieweb#careerbreak#software

Updated my website finally... Added a couple new projects to the front page and started a devlog for my current game prototype, Quests!

Looking back at the devlog for Barrier Blast... I thought I'd like to do that for a larger project ๐
We've been using https://t.co/a0itWXn5pq to run our D&D game for a few weeks now ๐ I'm really happy with how quick it is to sketch out a map and drop in some tokens!
Still so much I'd love to add but I'm very happy with this small feature set. Gotta work on the icons though!
Ran our first game in my virtual tabletop Friday! A couple strange bugs to fix (thanks Chrome on Mac!) but overall things were pretty smooth. Time to fix an undo bug and get the UI ready for more folks to try!
@RobotAustin@SlyFlourish Ugh yeah. I've been using a bunch of generic tokens I made and drawing maps on the fly with map tools, to recreate what I would do in person... but the drawing tools are pretty rough. Perhaps unsurprising that Roll20 works best when you pay them for premade content ๐
Roll20 takes too much prep to get good results, so I've been working on my own virtual tabletop that suits my style of game mastery better... finally starting to see some results!
@SlyFlourish I've been working on building a virtual tabletop better suited to improvisation than Roll20... I wish it was further along! Hopefully I can wrap up map drawing code this weekend and get something out there for folks to try.
