@JuanG_Arango Someone has a bad take and therefore they're compromised? How 'bout they're just wrong or dumb?
There was definitely a coaching issue for the first half of the Belgium game. Looked to me like Belgium was way better prepared for the game than the USA. Doesn't mean Poch should go.
@katew0113@TuscanyBayBooks@vihaaneaswar The proceedings showed no such thing:
"Irwin analyzed the WNT’s and MNT’s revenue from 2009–2019...In each scenario, looking solely at the revenue brought in, the MNT outperformed the WNT in each case."

@AmandaMAtwell The women would have to *win* one and a half Women's World Cups to match this $16M for a knockout exit by the men. The winners of WWC2023 got $10.5M and that's after the prize pool got upped from even more "sharing" by the men. WWC2019 winner got $4M.

Harry Kane’s 32, married to his childhood sweetheart, got four kids, runs his own mental health charity and quietly donates to the armed forces and mental health causes. Barely drinks, doesn’t smoke, and in 15+ years in the spotlight he’s never had a single scandal. Proper clean living.
On the pitch? Ridiculous numbers. England’s all-time top scorer, Spurs’ all-time top scorer, six Golden Boots (four in the Prem, one at a World Cup). Most strikers could only dream of that.
Yet the bloke still gets written off and disrespected more than anyone in his generation. Gives everything for club and country, never puts a foot wrong off the field. Proper professional.
If you’re after a role model, it doesn’t get much better than Kane. The fact we even have to say it says it all, doesn’t it?

@JahangirAsgha10 They don't have answers. They just want to spend other people's money. They also ignore that the European model is that private clubs fund everything.

@THEChrisKessell The people you label sycophants just want to know where the money is going to come from. If your proposal is that the billionaire owners pay for it, fine. Let's discuss it. Let's not pretend that we can run a world-class development program without *someone* footing the bill.
@JimJim50863703@AlexiLalas Arguably better coaching at lower levels yields higher results later. It's easier to establish a firm foundation early and build on it than to try to build something solid on uneven, sandy ground later. The problem is connecting the results years later to the early coaching.
Everyone could post in their range and read the range(s) above, but not post in them. You could choose to read and post down, but you could also ignore them as needed. 2/2
Giving Internet access to the masses was a mistake. There are so many people that think housing and food appear out of nowhere and that taxes make things free.
I don't support ID to get on the Internet, but it'd be nice if we had a space restricted to certain IQ ranges. 1/2
